Duties: Endeavor to educate the parish on the church’s social
justice teachings suggesting actions such as letter writing campaigns.
Time: Bi-monthly meetings plus time for preparation and follow up.

HEALTH CARE COMMITTEE
Duties: Promote greater awareness
among parishioners of the importance of a holistic approach to health. Organizing educational opportunities focused
on prevention and wellness, providing information on available resources within
our parish as well as in the greater community and working with other
committees and groups toward identifying health-related needs in our parish
Time: Variable (generally, several
hours a month)
Special Skills: Interest and/or
experience in promoting health and wellness. Specific health-related expertise
welcomed

FAMILY COUNSELING COMMITTEE
Duties: Reach out to those parishioners
in need of professional counseling, to serve parishioners with limited means
with an affordable approach to professional help, to identify for parishioners
the particular areas of expertise and experience of certain counselors, to
develop representative programs and measures to create healthy family life and
to network with other agencies for specialized needs, develop parenting
courses.
Time: Variable (generally, several hours a month)
Special Skills: Interest and/or
experience in promoting health and wellness. Specific health-related expertise

IMMIGRATION COUNSELING MINISTRY
Duties: Promote greater awareness
among immigrants parishioners about existing and new immigration laws. Provide a wide range of services for a
limited-English speaking parishioners. Organizing educational opportunities on
available resources within our parish and identifying immigration needs in our
parish
Time: Meets once a month (2 hours),
and variable help as needed
Special Skills: Interest and/or experience in promoting

JOB SEARCH SUPPORT TEAM “NEW HOPE”
Duties: Provide a supportive
environment and practical help to job seekers.
Assist with resume writing, training, interviewing, locating jobs.
Time: Meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of
each month from 7:30PM-9PM. Facilitators lead
meetings once each month
Special Skills: Willingness to help
job seekers. Knowledge of job search
skills, such as resume writing, interview skills, and networking, is optional

CAREGIVERS COMMITTEE
Duties: Work with committee
to coordinate direct service projects at our parish including the Holiday
Basket Program, the Gifting Tree, School Supplies collections; emergency
intervention (assist families in crisis through various types of support –
prayers, transportation, meals, clothing, money, medicine, etc.)
Time: Meets monthly; occasional
weekends
Special Skills: Willingness to work
with others in direct service to persons needing our help
